I am a Sound Healer, Singer, and Coach dedicated to guiding you back to the Gentle Power of your Heart through Sound.

Sound Healing is when specific instruments are used to relax the mind, body and soul, creating an environment where the body’s natural healing abilities can activate.
By fostering deep relaxation, Sound Healing allows the nervous system to shift from a state of "fight or flight" (sympathetic) into "rest and digest" (parasympathetic), where restoration and balance can occur.
In today’s fast-paced world, chronic stress often keeps our systems in overdrive, leading to suppressed immune function, increased inflammation, poor digestion, disrupted sleep, heightened anxiety, and chronic fatigue.
Over time, this persistent imbalance can contribute to more serious health concerns, including cardiovascular issues, hormonal disruptions and mental health challenges.
Through the soothing vibrations of instruments like Crystal singing bowls, angelic Vocals, drums, chimes, rattles, gongs and harps, Sound Healing helps to recalibrate the nervous system - returning you to a state of calm and balance. As researchers estimate that up to 90% of disease is linked to stress, reducing stress levels through Sound Healing can lead to greater overall health. How Does Sound Healing Work?
Our bodies respond to sound through both hearing and physical vibrations. These vibrations travel through the ears, skin, bones and even our cells, effectively carrying sound throughout the body, including along the spine.
Since the human body is composed of 70-80% water, sound vibrations are easily transmitted, creating a profound internal resonance.
Sound frequencies help relax the body, shifting it into the parasympathetic state—commonly known as the "rest and digest" state. In this state, the body can deeply relax, allowing for healing and restoration on a deeper level.
In contrast, our modern, fast-paced lives often keep us stuck in the "fight or flight" mode (sympathetic nervous system activation), where the body cannot properly rest or rejuvenate. Over time, this imbalance contributes to an increase in mental and physical health challenges.
This is why relaxing the nervous system is so critical—and Sound Healing is an exceptional tool for achieving this! Additionally, Sound Healing can influence our brainwave activity, encouraging states such as Alpha and Theta. Alpha waves represent a relaxed yet wakeful state, often experienced during daydreaming or light meditation. Theta waves, on the other hand, occur in a near-unconscious state, such as during very deep meditation or the moments between waking and sleeping—both of which participants may experience in a Sound Healing session.
By helping the brain enter these relaxed states, Sound Healing not only supports mental and physical relaxation but also activates the body’s innate self-healing abilities, promoting overall well-being and balance.
How Music and Sound Affect Our Brain Wave States
Our brain operates using electrical impulses that form patterns known as brain waves. These waves can be categorized into different states depending on their frequency, each associated with specific mental and emotional conditions:
Beta Waves (14-40 Hz): Active when we are awake, alert, and focused. High levels of beta waves are linked to stress and anxiety.
Alpha Waves (8-13 Hz): Associated with a relaxed yet alert state, often experienced during light meditation or daydreaming.
Theta Waves (4-8 Hz): Linked to deep relaxation, creativity, and the dreamlike state we experience during light sleep or deep meditation.

Sound and music have a profound ability to influence these brain wave states. When exposed to certain sounds, our brain naturally begins to synchronize with the frequency of the sound, a phenomenon called entrainment.

In a sound healing session, instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs and drums produce tones and vibrations that correspond to lower-frequency brain waves (such as alpha, theta, or delta states). These vibrations help guide the brain away from the heightened activity of beta waves and into deeper, more relaxed states. Here’s how:

Helping you Heal Through Sound
I use Sound firstly to help your body to return to Balance. If we are to work on healing old wounds, patterns and limiting beliefs, we cannot do this when the body is in ‘fight or flight’.
The body/mind/soul will resist any changes if it’s in a state of fight or flight, which often is our usual state of being if we’ve experienced trauma and stress. The body needs to relax, feel safe and relax enough to ‘open up’ to new ways of being.
After the body has calmed and returned to a more balanced state with the use of Sound Healing (entering the rest and digest nervous system state) and entering into slower brain wave states, such as alpha and theta, we can then begin the work of healing old wounds and re-writing old patterns that do not serve our through the use of Visualisations, Meditation and a highly personalised Affirmation.
These states create an optimal environment for accessing the subconscious mind, where many of our deeply ingrained patterns, beliefs, and behaviours are stored. Through accessing these states, I can help you to begin the process of creating new pathways and deeper healing, with a focus on Returning to your Heart and building a beautiful relationship with yourself.
